The ACECQA Forum
The Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) has a national leadership role in promoting quality and continuous improvement in children's education and care. The ACECQA Board liaises with a consultative forum to hear the sector's views and benefit from its expertise.
The ACECQA Forum is a central part of our consultation and engagement activities and helps address issues relating to quality education and care for children. Members are asked to consider matters affecting the implementation of the National Quality Framework and the needs of the sector, and to help us improve our services. It also provides an opportunity to promote cross-sector engagement.
Members of the Forum include providers of family day care, outside school hours care and preschool services, large providers of long day care, local and state government agencies, peak bodies, professional support agencies, and family, professional and employee associations. The Forum also includes organisations with a focus on skills and training, research, and inclusion.
The second meeting of the Forum was held in Melbourne on 7 March 2013.
