Celebrating Starting Blocks’ 3rd birthday

Starting Blocks – ACECQA’s brand targeted to families – turns three this month.

ACECQA recognised that new parents are often faced with many decisions, and sometimes an overwhelming amount of information and opinion, about a child’s early years. Starting Blocks was launched in April 2015 with an aim to alleviate some of this pressure by providing new parents and families with reliable information on early childhood development and early education and care, all in the one place.

The Starting Blocks website provides helpful tips on child development, as well as advice on what to look for in an early childhood service. It also offers fact sheets on the National Quality Framework, educator to child ratios, managing children’s special health needs in child care, nutrition in child care, and others.
