Gonski 2.0 report highlights importance of quality early childhood education
The Australian Government has released its report on the Review to Achieve Educational Excellence in Australian Schools. The report by David Gonski AC and a panel of education and policy experts outlines the priority areas and recommendations for improving student achievement and school performance, from early childhood education through to primary and high school.
Along with a number of key findings, the report highlights the importance of high-quality early childhood education for children’s transition to and success at school, with the engagement and support of parents and carers critical to learning and development in the early years.
