Read ACECQA’s submission to the Australian Senate Inquiry into red tape on childcare

ACECQA has made a submission to the inquiry about the effect of red tape on childcare in the context of the National Quality Framework (NQF).

The submission considers the ‘red tape’ directly attributable to the NQF, and its legislated scheme for licensing, standards and quality rating.

All governments and ACECQA have committed to monitoring and reducing any unnecessary burden associated with the NQF since its introduction in 2012. Improved efficiency of education and care services regulation has in part been achieved by creating a unified national system under the NQF that reduced the duplication of certain licencing processes, qualification requirements and legislative obligations.
