Privacy and Freedom of Information
[ National Law & Regulations, Section 263, Regulations 195–203 ] ACECQA and each of the regulatory authorities are required to comply with the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act), as applied through the National Law, when handling personal information for the purposes of the National Quality Framework (NQF).
The Privacy Act contains 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), which regulate the collection, use, disclosure, storage and accuracy of personal information handled by ACECQA and each of the regulatory authorities.
