Qualifications requirements to work in Australian education and care services:

Qualifications for centre-based services with children preschool age or under


Preschool, kindergarten and long day care services and their staff, must meet centre-based services qualification requirements.

Educators working at an education and care service, may be required to complete a first aid qualification, anaphylaxis management training and emergency asthma management training.

Individuals ‘actively working towards’ an approved qualification may be counted towards qualification requirements.
