Senior Officer, Research and Evaluation

The Role

The Senior Officer, Research and Evaluation undertakes research and audit duties related to the National Quality Framework (NQF), and Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.

This role is full time and ongoing at ACECQA Band 5 ($82,693 - $100,763)

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated experience and ability to plan, undertake and report on research, audit and consultation projects, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  2. Demonstrated experience and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver high quality projects.
  3. Demonstrated experience and ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver identified goals.

Highly Desirable:

Knowledge of quantitative methodologies, such as survey design, sampling and statistical analysis

Knowledge of qualitative methodologies

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.

We are looking for a Senior Officer to join our Educational Leadership and Sector Support team to assist in developing training programs, presentations, workshops, eLearning modules and other support material to the early childhood education and care sector.

Selection Criteria

  1. Experience in the delivery and/or development of policy for, quality education and care programs and services.
  2. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across audiences and genres (including social media, print and web-based), backed by high level written communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to negotiate confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and conceptualise complex multifaceted concepts and issues, developing proactive and innovative outcomes.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of the children’s education and care sector in Australia and demonstrated familiarity with the National Quality Framework including the National Law and Regulations, learning frameworks and related resources.
  6. Proven ability to develop productive working relationships with external stakeholders and peak organisations.
  7. Ability to develop and deliver informative and engaging presentations, resources and articles that align with the NQF and promote quality education and care programs and practices.
  8. Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, relevant legislation, learning frameworks and standards, contemporary research, policies, practices, theories and trends relating to children’s education and care in Australia.
  9. Demonstrated ability to use a range of technologies and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  10. Effective teamwork skills, including a proven ability to contribute to the success of a project or team.

Highly Desirable:

  1. Qualifications and experience in children’s education and care and/or adult learning.
  2. Knowledge of, or experience in, regulatory processes or government decision making.

We are looking for an experienced Records and Information Manager to manage our information assets and ensure information security. This unique position requires someone that has strong technical skills, can think strategically and is confident in their operational ability. Being able to analyse data, prepare reports and train staff is a must.

This role is full time ongoing at ACECQA Band 6/7 ($102,853 - $135,713)

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated experience in managing records and information for compliance with legislation and/or standards
  2. Proven capacity to communicate complex information persuasively and clearly to both internal and external stakeholders
  3. Demonstrated experience in project scoping, planning, delivery and reporting and proven ability to manage policies and systems and implement improvements
  4. Demonstrated experience in the administration of Electronic Document & Records Management Systems (EDRMS)
  5. Proven ability to collaborate, prioritise and deliver results both individually and in a team environment

Highly desirable

  1. Ability to apply a working knowledge of the State Records Act 1998 (NSW)
  2. Capability to effectively administer a HP Content Manager (HPRM/TRIM) system.
