Senior Officer Qualifications Assessment

The Senior Qualifications Officer significantly contributes to the effective, efficient and consistent delivery of ACECQA’s qualifications assessment function, including applications for skilled migration.

The position holder is responsible for managing a case load of qualifications assessment applications and providing guidance and support to team members.

This opportunity is located in Sydney and is full time and non-ongoing until 26 June 2020 at ACECQA Band 5 ($86,031 – $104,831).

Selection Criteria   

  1. Demonstrated experience and ability to communicate effectively and clearly to a broad range of audiences, both in writing and orally. 
  2. Demonstrated experience and ability to manage a case load or a project, including the ability to manage competing demands and deadlines.
  3. Demonstrated experience and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, including providing guidance and support to colleagues, and develop productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Demonstrated experience and ability to provide expert, technical advice to internal and external stakeholders, including exercising professional judgment in supporting decision making.

Highly desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Significant knowledge and experience of regulatory processes and administrative decision-making
  • Significant knowledge and experience of assessing education and care qualifications.

Business Coordination Manager

The Business Coordination Manager will support the Executive team to develop and deliver new business opportunities.  The position will work closely with the Executive team and internal teams to develop business proposals, establish and assist with the management of new contracts, coordinate resources required for delivery and manage systems for tracking and reporting.

This opportunity is located in Sydney and is full time and non-ongoing for 12 months with possible extension or conversion to an ongoing role at ACECQA Band 7 ($122,309 – $139,106).

Selection Criteria   

  1. Qualifications in business, project management or other related discipline or an equivalent level of relevant experience
  2. High level team work and collaboration skills, preferably demonstrated in a business development environment
  3. Demonstrated ability to analyse business objectives and to develop, implement, monitor and review governance and planning mechanisms
  4. Well-developed communication skills, oral and written, people skills, organisational skills and administrative skills
  5. Highly developed problem solving, research, conceptual, analytical skills with the ability to develop business proposals and plans
