Senior Officer, Educational Leadership

The Senior Officer, Educational Leadership will work to ensure the effective, efficient and consistent delivery of ACECQA’s Excellent rating functions under the Education and Care Services National Law. The role also supports the development of presentations, reports, articles, updates, resources and training materials to support the children’s education and care sector to understand and implement the National Quality Framework (NQF).

This opportunity is located in Sydney and is full time and ongoing at ACECQA Band 5 ($86,031 – $104,831).

Selection Criteria     

  1. Skills, knowledge and experience in one or both of the following areas:
    1. Children’s education and care qualification/s and/or a working knowledge of education and care service delivery.
    2. Knowledge of, or experience in, regulatory processes or government decision-making and an ability to work with legislation and associated materials.
  2. Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and develop clear, timely and accurate recommendations, briefs and reports
  3. Proven ability to develop productive working relationships with external stakeholders and peak organisations.
  4. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across audience and genres (including presentations, articles and resources) backed by high level written communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to negotiate confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Effective teamwork skills, including a proven ability to contribute to the success of a project or team.
  7. Knowledge of or ability to acquire knowledge of, the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, relevant legislation, contemporary research, policies, practices theories and trends relating to children’s education and care in Australia.

Senior Project Officer, Human Resources

The Senior Project Officer Human Resources (HR) is responsible for creating, managing and executing various projects to enhance people and capability management practices at ACECQA and to achieve ACECQA’s strategic objectives.

The role will play an integral part in ensuring the delivery of:

  • organisational culture and development initiatives
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander recruitment and retention initiatives
  • implementing and embedding HR software across the organisation
  • HR policy and procedure consolidation and updates, and
  • associated change management and training initiatives.

Selection Criteria   

  1. A degree in a relevant field with subsequent relevant experience, extensive human resources or management experience, or an equivalent combination of both
  2. High-level project management skills with a record of successfully delivering projects through to completion in accordance with agreed standards, timeframes and budgets
  3. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional documentation for various audiences, advise and negotiate with senior stakeholders and maintain discretion
  4. High-level research and problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and recommend solutions to challenging issues
  5. Demonstrated ability to exercise substantial levels of independence, judgement and initiative
  6. Knowledge and understanding of HR principles, relevant legislation and current trends

The Senior Officer, Educational Leadership and Regulatory Authority Support (RAS) supports the work of the RAS team in developing and delivering presentations, reports, articles, updates, resources and training materials to support the sector and the authorised officers to understand and implement the National Quality Framework (NQF).

    2. An early childhood teaching qualification with relevant experience in the delivery of quality education and care programs, and/or

  2. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, included a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across audience and genres (including social media, print and web based), backed by high level written communication skills
  3. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders and peak organisations.
  4. Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and conceptualise complex multifaceted concepts and issues, developing proactive and innovative outcomes
  5. Knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of relevant legislation, contemporary research, policies practices, theories and trends relating to education and care in Australia
  6. Highly developed time management and organisational skills including accurate record keeping, project delivery and the management of training schedules, meetings and conferences.

Desirable:

  1. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or website administration

Business Coordination Manager

The Business Coordination Manager supports us to develop and deliver new business opportunities. In this role, you would be the link between the executive team, support teams and functional teams working to develop business proposals, establish and assist with the management of new contracts, coordinate resources required for delivery and manage systems for tracking and reporting.

This opportunity is located in Sydney and is full time and non-ongoing for 12 months at ACECQA Band 7 ($122,309 – $139,106) with possible extension or conversion to an ongoing role.
